"When I was introduced to freelancing by my present Co-founder Khalid back in GIKI days, I never really gave much thought to this idea. As every other graduate, the fear of not getting a job right after graduation started setting in and I took up one of the job offers that I got, as an iOS developer in a software house. I always believed leaving a well-paid job and pursuing freelancing alone, was not my thing. However, fate has its own strange ways and I was left with no other option but to go for freelancing when I had a severe accident and was bedridden for almost a year. It is only after freelancing for six months I realized that it pays better than orthodox jobs. The best part is, there is freedom to work whenever and from wherever you want to. Also, the variety of projects and tasks you get to do, are a lot more diverse and interesting. But my journey doesn’t end with freelancing. This was just the beginning when along the way I built my startup Patari. Patari is the first Pakistani music streaming platform that has more than 80 thousand active users within only 9 months of launch. So while freelancing is better than conventional jobs, entrepreneurship is a whole new level of career choice. It’s like an adrenaline rush.” – Humayun Haroon, co-founder Patari.
Patari has many achievements under its hat, all owing to the co-founders and the brilliant team. From an employee, to freelancer to being an entrepreneur eventually, learn more about him on his Twitter handle
